8dp3dt - 1/31/10

So today is 8dp3dt - and so I woke up at 4:30 this morning and decided to go ahead and POAS. And OMG! a faint positive line! I was so shocked! I think soon has finally arrived. I am going to POAS on Wednesday 2/3 and then I have Beta #1 on Friday 2/5. I am super excited, but trying to remain cautious. It is still very early and I would hope that at this point the trigger would be out of my system and this wouldn't be a false positive.

1dp3det - 1/24/10

So yesterday was the embryo transfer. We transferred three embryos and were graded 1's and 2's; one being the best. So the everyone is very pleased with how they turned out. Now we just wait - tick, tock, tick, tock. It was uneventful other than I had to pee so bad because you have to go in with a full bladder - I thought I was going to die. But then Dr. D said it was too full, so I had to go, but not empty it all the way. Now how the heck... After that all went well.

Today has been ok, a bit of nausea, not sure where that is coming from and a bit of cramping. During my nap today I had a dream about a positive HPT - fingers crossed! LOL.

Day after retrieveal - January 21

So yesterday was my retrieval and I am not going to lie - it was very uncomfortable afterwards. Although I did not need the prescribed Demerol, I did have to take Tylenol Extra Strength and use the heating pad. I am feeling so much better today, I feel like I have done a ton of situps so I am a little slow to get up and walk around.

The embryologist did call this morning - they did retrieve seven eggs, one fractured so that left six. All six were mature and they ICSI all of them. This morning I had four that had fertilized. So the transfer is on Saturday morning at 9:30 am. I am excited, nervous and scared all together.

Hopefully soon there will be a positive HPT.

CD7 - January 11, 2010

So everything went well with my uncle, he is home and recovering from having the brain tumor removed. We are all so very thankful.

So today is CD 7 - I am doing microlupron and 225 Menopur in the AM and the PM. So today I am very uncomfortable. Feeling an awful lot of activity in the ovary area. I go for my CD9 ultrasound in two days. Hopefully I am responding to this high dose of Menopur as I am usually am a poor responder to Menopur. But I ran out of my max for injectibles and I had seven boxes of Menopur left. But I do have a couple of pens of Gonal F in the fridge as well.

My mother should be here in a couple of days to be here to help me after the retrieval and transfer process. I am very much hoping that this is a go and the embryos stick.

Here's to hopefully soon!

Happy New Year

It's the start of a new year and hoping that the first IVF works for me. Last night was my last BCP so now just waiting for CD1. Lots of issues going on as well. My uncle is having surgery to remove a brain tumor which is very scary. My dad is coming up to see him before the surgery and to make sure everything goes well with that. Then my mother will be coming up for the egg retreival. So January is going to be a very busy month with everything that is going on. So best wishes and here's hoping soon...
